thenewplace.org began its somewhat fluid existence on 08.30.2004 as the official website of the Minnesota theatrical production entity, The New Place. For the next six years, it served as the main marketing venue for The New Place's area theatrical premieres as well as the docking location for original audio productions. In addition, the domain served (and still does) as the online portfolio of TNP's founder, Robin Johnson's work in theater and education.
In today's transient world, thenewplace.org has become an online digest of ideas. Here-- essays, stories, videos, podcasts and photographs have been collected and shared in the hopes that a through line might emerge to point the way to the newest place yet to be discovered.
